How close the gorge is, in minutes
From the gate, Fayette Station Road is 7 minutes. Endless Wall is 9, Long Point 10 and Beauty Mountain 17.
Endless Wall follows the cliff edge to Diamond Point. Long Point ends at the classic view of the bridge.
Adventures on the Gorge is eight minutes away, for whitewater rafting, zip lines and rock climbing.
Dinner, groceries and gas in Fayetteville
Downtown has restaurants, coffee and vintage shopping. Try Pies & Pints, Secret Sandwich Society or Wood Iron Eatery.
A gas station is right across the street, where our road meets US 19. Walmart Supercenter, for groceries, is six minutes away.
The A-frame and its deck
Cathedral Cabin has one king bed, a bathroom with a deep soaking tub, and floor-to-ceiling glass that looks over the deck to the field. The fire pit is yours too.
The kitchenette is for coffee, drinks and snacks. Dinner is in town.

What a stay costs here
Each night has its own price, and the calendar on the Cathedral Cabin page shows every one.
Add a $100 cleaning fee, then 13% in West Virginia and Fayetteville taxes on the nights and the fee. There's no resort fee. The full price shows before you pay.
Full refund when you cancel 5 or more days before check-in.
Check-in by code
Arrive after 4 PM and leave before 10 AM. Your gate code and door code show up in the guest portal two days before check-in.
The road is paved to the front gate and gravel after it, flat the whole way. No truck or four-wheel drive needed. Park at the cabin and walk around the right side to the door.

Ten acres behind one gate. One gravel road, passing one stay at a time, each with its own open field in front of it: no shared wall, no shared deck, no shared fire. And if you do pass someone on the gravel, they're here for the same reason you are.

What happens after you reserve
Reserve here and your stay goes straight onto the Star Farm calendar. Before you arrive you get the gate code, your door code and the guest guide, with everything you need for the stay and the area around it.
Questions
How close are you to town and New River Gorge National Park?
Star Farm is inside Fayetteville's city limits. Downtown and the national park entrance are both about five minutes away. You can spend the day hiking, rafting or taking the Bridge Walk, then come back for an evening at the cabin.
How long is the drive to Star Farm?
By car, allow about: Pittsburgh, 3 h 30 min; Charlotte, 3 h 45 min; Columbus, 3 h 45 min; Richmond, 4 h 30 min; Washington, DC, 5 h 15 min.
Charleston airport (CRW) is about 1 h 15 min away.
Is Star Farm adults only?
Yes. Every stay is for adults 25 and over, with a maximum of two guests. That's part of how we keep things quiet here.
Will we see deer?
Quite often. I keep the grass in the field fairly tall because the deer love to graze there. They're out here most days, sometimes right in front of the A-frame. They even sleep by the front gate.
What if we need to cancel?
Cancel five or more days before check-in and you get a full refund. Inside five days, you get back half of the nightly rate and half of the cleaning fee, plus all of the tax.
A no-show or an early departure forfeits the full reservation. Refunds go back to your original payment method within five to ten business days.
Can we change our dates?
If you ask more than five days before check-in, you can change your dates once without a change fee. The new dates need to be available, and any difference in the nightly rate still applies. Inside five days, a date change is at my discretion.
Weather and road conditions aren't grounds for a refund, but I'll work with you on a one-time date shift. Natural disasters and similar events are reviewed case by case.
