One cabin, open now for two adults.
New River Gorge National Park Lodging
New River Gorge National Park lodging at Star Farm: a hand-crafted cabin for two on ten gated acres, five minutes from New River Gorge National Park. It is not a hotel: no lobby and no front desk.
Cathedral Cabin, near the park entrance
Cathedral Cabin is 400 square feet, with one king bed, one bathroom and a deck over the field.
The visitor center and the bridge overlook are five minutes from the gate. After a day in the park, there's the deep soaking tub and the fire pit.
New River Gorge lodging by gate code
You let yourself in with a gate code and a door code.
The road is gravel after the gate. The kitchenette is for drinks and snacks, so dinner is in town.
The Observatory and the Sky Pavilion
The Observatory, a geodesic dome, opens in March 2027. It is being built for a longer stay: 800 square feet, a full kitchen, laundry and a cedar sauna.
The Sky Pavilion, a mirror house, opens in December 2027. Three sides are mirror, one side is wood, and the wood wall is where the door is.
Every stay holds two adults, 25 and over, sits on its own field behind the one gate, and is finished by the same pair of hands.
What happens after you reserve
Reserve here and your stay goes straight onto the Star Farm calendar. Before you arrive you get the gate code, your door code and the guest guide, with everything you need for the stay and the area around it.
Questions
How close are you to town and New River Gorge National Park?
Star Farm is inside Fayetteville's city limits. Downtown and the national park entrance are both about five minutes away. You can spend the day hiking, rafting or taking the Bridge Walk, then come back for an evening at the cabin.
How does check-in work?
Check-in is after 4 PM, and checkout is before 10 AM. The gate code, your door code and the guest guide are in the guest portal. The codes appear two days before check-in.
Drive through the gate and park at the cabin. From where you park, walk around the right side to the entrance. We have the lamps and ambient lights on before you arrive. On hot days, we close the curtains beforehand to help keep the cabin cool.
Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM.
What if we need something during our stay?
Text or call me. I generally check in to see whether you need fresh towels or supplies.
If I'm working on the property on a hot, sunny day and you're out, I may step into the cabin to close open curtains so it stays cool.
