Yes. Every stay is for adults 25 and over, and each one is built for two.

A maximum of two.

No pets, including service animals.

Check-in is after 4 PM, and check-out is before 10 AM. Before you arrive, you get the gate code, your door code and the guest guide. Drive in through the gate and park in front of the cabin. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM. When the calendar allows, you can add early check-in from 1 PM or late check-out until 1 PM for $50 each.

A Nespresso Vertuo, Aesop bath products, robes and towels, a deep soaking tub, a smart TV, 500 Mbps WiFi, heat and AC, a fire pit, and the ten acres to walk. There is no resort fee.

Yes. It is built for one: 800 square feet, a full kitchen with a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer.

Yes. The bathroom, with a walk-in shower, is inside The Observatory.

It runs a little warm in peak summer, from 3 PM to 7 PM: about 72 degrees inside. After the sun sets, 68 degrees is no problem.

Yes. The Observatory is insulated, and the mini-split heat pump heats it. The private cedar sauna is on the deck.

The calendar shows the price of each night. On top of that there is a $100 cleaning fee, and 13% tax on the nights and the cleaning fee: West Virginia sales tax 6%, Fayetteville sales tax 1%, and the Fayetteville accommodations tax 6%. There is no resort fee. You see the full total before you pay.

Cancel 5 or more days before check-in and you get a full refund. Inside 5 days, you get back half of the nightly rate and the cleaning fee, and all of the tax. A no-show or an early departure forfeits the full reservation. Refunds go to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

You can change your dates once at no charge if you ask more than 5 days before check-in; the new dates must be open, and a rate difference can apply. Inside 5 days, a date change is up to us.

Winter storms and road conditions are not grounds for a refund, but we will work with you on a one-time date shift.

About five minutes by car from the park entrance, in Fayetteville, West Virginia. Trailheads like Long Point, Endless Wall and Diamond Point are 10 to 15 minutes away.

New River Gorge National Park is the main draw: whitewater rafting, rock climbing the gorge walls, hiking, and the iconic bridge. Babcock State Park, Cathedral Falls, and the Hawks Nest overlook are all within thirty minutes. Bridge Day in October is the area’s biggest annual event.

By car: Pittsburgh, 3 h 30 min; Charlotte, 3 h 45 min; Columbus, 3 h 45 min; Richmond, 4 h 30 min; Washington, DC, 5 h 15 min. The nearest airport is the Charleston airport (CRW), 1 h 15 min away.

Paved road all the way to the front gate, then a beautiful gravel road. It's all flat, with no steep roads. No truck or four-wheel drive needed.

Walmart Supercenter is 6 minutes away, for groceries and supplies. The gas station is right across the street, where our road meets US 19.
